US wants to hold Gazprom accountable for violation of sanctions

WASHINGTON, Oct 19 (PRIME) -- The U.S. wants to hold Russian gas giant Gazprom accountable for violation of the U.S. sanctions, Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo said on Tuesday without specifying any details.

The statement was made on the background of criticism of the U.S. senators over the U.S. rejection of further sanctions against Russia’s Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline.
